The United Stated Marine Corps boot camp is strenuous.
It can be both physically and mentally difficult. There are
unmatched expectations and no room for error.
Upon completion, however, there is great sense of pride.
Much like becoming a parent.
There is little sleep, extra laundry, quick showers, cold
dinners, and high standards. A parent and a Marine must be ready to perform their duties at a moment’s notice. Though it can be challenging, the rewards are astronomical.
“How to Train a Marine Corps Dad” is written through the eyes of a child and demonstrates the parallels between the expectations of a United States Marine and those of a father.
